Frequently Asked Questions

What are your hours?

Our camp day runs from 8:30-4:30. However, we are offering an Extended Day option from 7:30-5:30.

Are you still enrolling?

We generally start enrollment in the second half of February, and keep enrollment open until full for a given week. We also generally stop taking new enrollments for a given summer after July 1st. Unless noted on the landing page or on the registration form itself, between March 1 and June 30, we are still enrolling for all weeks and all grades!

What is the minimum age for your campers?

We serve rising Kinders-8th grade, so for rising Kinders in 2025, that means they would need to turn 5 by August 31st.

Do you offer financial aid or scholarships?

Evergreen Summer Adventures does not currently offer financial aid. Sometimes we receive grant funding that allows us to subsidize enrollment costs for qualifying families or groups, but that does not happen every summer, and when it does it is not usually open for public application, but rather in partnership with other community organizations. Also, please note, students that attend Evergreen for school and receive financial assistance for school fees and school-year child care receive said assistance as a means to reduce barriers to Evergreen enrollment, and as such that assistance does not apply to Evergreen Summer Adventures.

Where is Evergreen and how do I get a hold of you?

What is the drop off and pick up procedure?

For morning drop off, come inside the Evergreen gym and initial the sign in/sign out sheet, and speak to the person at the camp desk, or at least one staff member.

For pickup, also come in and initial the sheet. Please also give your name to the person at the camp desk. All persons picking up are logged, and only those on approved pickup lists may sign children out.

Where do I park?

In front of the gym.

Where's the gym?

We have two buildings. One is the gym, the other is not. It's big, you'll see it.

What do we bring?

Click here for the printable Camp Necessities and Important Information. A copy of it will be included with registration confirmation emails.

Do you provide lunch?

No. Campers should bring a morning snack and a full lunch. Many kids also find it useful to have an afternoon snack as well, especially if they stay past 3PM.

What if my child has special needs?

Every child is more than welcome to be here! And, parents know their children best. Please let us know in advance of any particular concerns or of any accommodations that would be necessary for your child to attend, and we will work case-by-case to determine if we can provide a positive experience for your child.

What if I need to make changes to my camp registration?

Your emailed confirmations from the camp registration form contains an edit link unique to your form. Please make changes with as much notice as possible. If you are unable to find the link or the confirmation email, please email the program directors. Cancellation policy explained below.

What is your cancellation policy?

Registration fees are non-refundable. We can only guarantee a refund of weekly attendance fees if we are notified more than two weeks in advance of non-attendance. We also reserve the right to cancel an enrollment for any week of camp not paid after one email reminder following the payment due date.

Can I sign up daily, for part of a week, or for only part of the day?

Registration and payment is strictly by-the-week. It is up to you how many days and hours to send your child, though!

What if I need someone else to pick up my children?

We maintain approved pickup lists from campers' enrollment forms. Also, the person dropping off each morning is expected to write on the sign-in list whom they expect to be picking up, which helps us manage most pickup-related questions. If someone you've not listed on your enrollment form or the sign-in log is going to pick your kids up from camp, please email the program directors, and/or call our direct number, (828) 484-4989.
