Daily Schedule
Campers are split weekly, by age and based on overall enrollment, into 4 or 5 groups. We use tree names for the age groups as such:
Pines: The youngest group, Kindergartners and some1st graders.
Oaks: The next group, usually a combination of 1st and 2nd grade.
Cedars: 2nd and 3rd graders
Maples: 4th grade and older
*When there's enough middle school enrollment to be a group by itself, they are the Hemlocks.
The schedule below is a sample, and may fluctuate from week to week. Enrichment blocks are where campers will do a variety of activities including art, gardening, hands-on STEM-based projects, cooperative group games, climbing wall time, biking, and water play. Exact activities will be planned by the staff each week, and for some activities that require more planning, we may send an enrichment activity sign-up form to parents in advance of each camp week.
7:30-8:30 – Early Arrival
8:30-9:00 – (Camp day begins) Check in, Free Play/Games
9:00 - Camp circles, campers split into groups
9:30-9:45 – Snack
9:45-11:45 – Morning enrichment block
11:45-12:30 – Lunch
12:30-2:30 – Afternoon enrichment block
2:30-3:00 – Playground/outside time
3:00-3:15 – Snack
3:15-4:30 – Quiet time/wind down with age groups
4:30-5:30 – Group play for campers staying for late pick-up
Each day, please bring all of the items detailed on the Camp Necessities and Information document!
These schedules are generic. All times are approximate. All outdoor activities are subject to change.
Off campus hiking trips for the Maples group, 4th and up, will be scheduled, based on weather, at the beginning of each week and communicated by Monday afternoons. They will likely take place on Thursday or Friday, and happen between 10am and 4pm. Last summer we alternated between Toms Creek and Moore Cove, choosing a destination each week based on weather. As we work with the Forest Service ahead of this summer, we may change or add destinations.
