Announcing 2021 Evergreen Summer Adventures Climbing Camp!

While we are still bummed not to be able to offer all of the enrichment classes, field trips, and adventure activities that we do in a normal summer, we are excited to announce that we have been able to put together an extension to camp that includes the use of both our climbing wall and ropes course!

It will run alongside the rest of our program during the weeks of June 14-18, June 21-25, and June 28-July 2. It is open to all kids rising 4th grade and up, and will run as a half-day, 4 day per week program. From 9AM-12PM, Mondays and Tuesdays will be focused on our ropes course, and Thursdays and Fridays will be focused on our indoor climbing wall. (In the event of bad weather on a Monday or Tuesday, Wednesdays are reserved as a backup day for the ropes course).

The group size will be small, likely no more than 8 campers at a time. Ropes course days will be focused on the use of our on-campus high ropes course, the 'Beanstalk Forest,' where campers will learn the ways of the trees! On climbing wall days, campers will rotate between top-rope climbing, bouldering, and introduction to the concept of belaying.

Campers may sign up for all four days, or either just the ropes course or climbing wall days. They may also be registered for just the climbing program, or add the climbing extension to their attendance of the full camp week.

Who's going to be running this, you ask? The ropes course activities will be run by Evergreen's own Jo Giordano, PE Teacher; Doug White, Adventure Coordinator; and Ethan Rhodus, 5th Grade Associate! Jo will also lead the climbing wall activities as well.
